Nursing during COVID…..

After more than 2 yrs….face it, our lives have changed. Gone are the days of “let me hold your hand while you die” and instead it is “how fast can you get that body picked up and the room cleaned” in preparation of the next patient that needs care.

Is there truly a nursing job that you get to take care of the whole person?

For you nurses out there, the sisterhood of educated, the white hose, white skirt, white shoes, white hat wearing professionals……we WILL survive. We expect so much more of ourselves and those Nurses around us.

Devour our young? Yes—a favorite nursing expression. If it were not for being devour ourselves as the young, would we dare feel we have conquered the world? Through a primarily female genre. How freaking awesome is that?

So for you powerful, smart, exciting women that give it all……here is a hug….from me to you…..one nurse to another nurse…..thank you…..just thank you….
