Are Step Dads Really your Dad?

I am reminded of the bond of my “step” Dad and me. Marshall Neil Stanford…..my Dad. He is so missed. I cannot believe it has been 20 years since he parted from our world. Where did the time go? How did I get through this? How did it affect my family?

When my children married, I cried…..my Dad was not there to tell me how to deal with married adult children. Then the grandchildren came…..my Dad was not there to teach me how to be a grandparent…..I miss him so much. I hope he is proud, I hope he can see everything we do and feel the love that continues. My heart is warm every time my oldest son Or my husband will make a comment and say that was a Neil Stanford comment!!! Hug your parents and grandparents. All-too-soon special times become memories.
